Tayyib, operated by Salman Fakhry, collects only what it needs to run the app and keep the community safe. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Account details you give us (email, username, display name, optional bio/link, gender for safe messaging). Content you create (videos, images, comments, stories). Social activity (follows, likes, reposts, favorites, reports, blocks). Approximate location — only if you enable it — to calculate prayer times and the qibla; this is used on your device and not stored as a history by us. Basic technical data needed to deliver and secure the service.
To show you the feed, profiles, search, and stories; to power prayer times, the athan, and qibla; to enable messaging between users of the same gender; to moderate content and enforce our guidelines; and to operate Tayyib Plus where available.
We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted service providers to run the app — notably Supabase for our database, authentication, and media storage, and the Apple/Google app stores for any payments. Content you post publicly (videos, profile, comments) is visible to other users by design.
Location is optional. If you grant permission, it is used to compute prayer times and the qibla direction. You can turn it off any time in your device settings; the app keeps working without it (you just lose accurate prayer times).
With your permission, we send local reminders for prayer times and in-app notifications for activity like follows and comments. You can disable these in your device or app settings.
You can edit your profile, make your account private, block users, delete your videos, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data — contact us and we will help.
Tayyib is not intended for children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from them; if we learn we have, we delete it.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete content or your account, we remove it from the live app, though copies may remain briefly in backups.
