Tayyib ("the app", "we", "us") is a short-video community built for Muslims, operated by Salman Fakhry. By creating an account or using Tayyib, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to use Tayyib. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You may not impersonate others, create accounts to evade a ban, or use the app in a way that breaks the law. You can delete your account at any time.
Tayyib exists so people can scroll with peace of mind. You agree not to post content that includes: nudity, immodesty, or sexual content; instrumental/background music (the daff and hand drums are permitted); profanity, hate, harassment, or bullying; violence or gore; political agitation; scams, spam, or anything unlawful. Content should respect Islamic guidelines on modesty (awrah) and depiction. We may add or clarify these rules over time.
You keep ownership of the videos, images, and text you post. To run the app, you grant Tayyib a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content within the app and its features (e.g. the feed, your profile, search, and stories). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with others or kept in backups for a reasonable period. You may only upload content — including videos, images, and audio such as nasheeds — that you created or have the rights to share. By posting, you confirm you have those rights; do not upload nasheeds or recordings owned by someone else without permission. If you believe content on Tayyib infringes your copyright, email salmanahmedfakhry@gmail.com with the post, a description of your work, and your contact details, and we will review and remove infringing content promptly. Accounts that repeatedly infringe may be removed.
We use automated checks and human review. You can report videos, comments, and users, and block anyone. If you break the guidelines, your content may be removed and your account may be temporarily paused or permanently banned. Repeated or severe violations lead to longer or permanent action. You may appeal a ban from within the app.
Some features may be offered through Tayyib Plus, a paid membership. When available, subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. We will never charge interest (riba) or use deceptive pricing. Core religious content — Quran, lectures, prayer times, athan, and qibla — is always free.
Tayyib is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it safe and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for content posted by other users. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited.
We may update the app and these Terms. If we make significant changes we will try to let you know in the app. You can stop using Tayyib at any time, and we may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms.
